Дорогие друзья! Снова стартует набор в 2 летние школы NeuroMatch Academy: одна по Deep Learning, другая - по Сomputational Neuroscience. Срок подачи заявок (как студентов, так и teaching assistant) до 20 апреля. На мой взгляд - это вероятно, лучшая онлайн школа, которую я когда-либо видела: 3 недели интенсивных занятий в мини-группах под руководством тьютора + проект + career days + возможность пообщаться с крутыми исследователями со всего света. Конечно, такое удовольствие не бесплатное, но я постаралась убедить оргкомитет в том, что сейчас, когда российские банки под санкциями, многие наши студенты просто физически не смогут осуществить платеж и поэтому меня заверили, что в подобной ситуации Вы можете участвовать в школе бесплатно (только, пожалуйста, без злоупотреблений: решили учиться - учитесь, а если не хотите/не можете - то, не стоит регистрироваться просто так - это достаточно большие издержки для организации). Уже всё знаете? Тогда добро пожаловать в ряды TA! Сроки заявки те же . Работа эта неплохо оплачивается. Как это будет организовано в этом году - не знаю, но финансовый отдел обещал справиться с любыми проблемами и найти способ оплатить работу и российских ТА. Вся подробная информация ниже. What is Neuromatch Academy?
Neuromatch Academy (NMA) is launched in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our aim is to provide globally-accessible, high-quality, TA-supported training in computational techniques related to neuroscience. In 2021, NMA designed and ran two fully online 3-week courses in Computational Neuroscience and Deep Learning for 3208 students with 373 teaching assistants (TAs) working in virtual inverted (or flipped) classrooms and on small group projects. Multiple languages of instructional support, active community management, and low cost allowed for unprecedented levels of inclusivity and accessibility.
What’s in a course?
Our courses are intensive 3-week programs involving hands-on tutorials developed by experts in the field. Accepted students are placed into TA-led pods (groups) using the Neuromatch algorithm, which matches students with common interests who are in the same timezone and their preferred language for instruction. Students receive personalized support as they work through hands-on tutorials and collaborate on course projects. Please note that all students will participate in the “interactive track”, as we will not have an observer track this year.
What does it cost?
We charge full-time students/academics a region adjusted small fee in order to pay for TAs (fee waivers are available to those who need it, no questions asked). Students without an academic affiliation (i.e., industry applicants) are charged the full unsubsidized cost of the school, but can also inquire about waivers.
